Well, to those of you who read my earlier journal post about my playstation 2 being dead, guess what? It's working again!!!
I guess I should explain first: I talked to my dad about the system and told him what was wrong. On the way home from his work today, he picked up an AV input cable from a local GameStop.
Then, when he brought it home and hooked it up, it worked perfectly. This weekend(because it's a longer weekend due to the Memorial Day holiday) i'm going to try and get a power cable for the PS2 to replace the one I have now, which should take care of the other problem it has(partly that I have to adjust the cable every time I want to start the system up).
However, i've still been doing research on the newer game systems. The reason i've been doing that is this: basically even though the system's OK now, I don't know how long this will last, and if it will work tomorrow or not, so i'm still looking into the newer systems, just in case I need to replace the PS2 someday.
